Refund and Returns Policy

Overview

MapSlides sells digital downloadable products only. We do not ship physical goods, and there are no physical products to return.

Because access to purchased files is provided electronically, purchases are generally final once the digital product has been made available for download, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

If there is a problem with your purchase, contact us within 7 days of purchase at:

Please include your order number and the product name.

We will review the issue and, when appropriate, provide a corrected product, replacement files, technical resolution, or refund.

Eligible issues

Please contact us within 7 days if:

  • the download link does not work
  • the downloaded file is corrupted
  • files listed on the product page are missing
  • you received the wrong product
  • a material technical defect prevents reasonable use of the product
  • the delivered product materially differs from what was described on the product page

When possible, we will first attempt to correct the issue or provide replacement files.

If we cannot reasonably correct a legitimate product defect, we may issue a refund to the original payment method.

Change-of-mind purchases

Because MapSlides products are digital downloads, we generally do not offer refunds for:

  • change of mind
  • purchasing the wrong county, state, or geographic area
  • purchasing a product that you later decide you do not need
  • expecting a map layer or feature that was not listed on the product page
  • lack of compatible software to open or edit the supplied files
  • differences between our source geography and another third-party map or dataset
  • dissatisfaction caused solely by the known limitations of the underlying geographic source data

Please review the product title, product images, included layers, file formats, and description before purchasing.

Geographic data

MapSlides products may use public geographic data from sources such as the U.S. Census Bureau TIGER/Line datasets.

Geographic datasets can contain limitations, omissions, generalizations, coverage gaps, or differences from data maintained by other organizations.

ZIP Code Areas based on U.S. Census geography are not official USPS delivery boundaries.

A difference between MapSlides geography and another government, postal, commercial, or privately maintained dataset does not automatically mean the product is defective.

Downloaded digital content

Once access to digital content has begun, some jurisdictions permit limits on cancellation or withdrawal rights.

Nothing in this policy is intended to remove consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.

For customers located in jurisdictions that provide mandatory cancellation, withdrawal, conformity, or refund rights, those rights continue to apply regardless of the terms above.

For example, EU rules allow the normal withdrawal right for digital content to be lost once performance begins only when the consumer has given prior express consent, acknowledged the loss of the withdrawal right, and the required confirmation has been provided. EUR-Lex

No physical returns

MapSlides does not sell physical products.

Do not mail or ship anything to us. There is:

  • no return shipping
  • no return address for merchandise
  • no product packaging to return
  • no exchange-by-mail process

Sale and discounted items

Discounted or sale-priced digital products are subject to the same policy as regularly priced products.

A discounted price does not remove any rights that may apply under applicable law.

Duplicate or accidental purchases

If you accidentally purchase the same product more than once, contact us within 7 days.

We may refund the duplicate purchase after verifying the orders.

Refund processing

If a refund is approved, it will be returned to the original payment method whenever reasonably possible.

The time it takes for the credit to appear depends on the payment processor and your financial institution.

Abuse and unauthorized redistribution

We may deny discretionary refunds where there is evidence of:

  • fraudulent activity
  • abuse of the refund process
  • unauthorized redistribution of MapSlides source files
  • attempts to obtain products without payment
  • violations of the MapSlides Terms & Conditions

This does not limit rights that cannot legally be waived.
